I have three brother and I am a huge fan of football. Football is a intermediate sport because it is very popular and manly. As stated in football high, student would move to a town just to go to a school with a good football program. It is the cool thing to go out for football in high school, they are famous to the school. The boys that play football train very hard and not just during football season it could be all year round, to make them bigger and better. football is a rough sport many injuries come for playing football.
Many kid get hurt every year playing football. They get hit in every game and every practice they have many concussions and other injuries. The players dont go out and think about if they are going to get hurt they think about winning big and looking tough for the fans. There has also been deaths from playing football. Kids dont think about what could happen they think about being stars and wining, maybe even going big.
you are correct, when going out for sports, the players do not think about the injury, just the glory. football is the best example of an intimidating sport because of the aggressiveness of the game. the whole point is to push your will upon the opponent. some players take this to the extreme and want to hurt the other players instead of play the game. so when talking about kids and their relationship to football, it would not be practical to say " don't try out you are going to get hurt!" the best route would be to explain how injuries happen and can not be avoided unless the player is prepared for the fallout. yes football can bring glory and fame, but at what cost? the cost of ones mobility or the cost of a life, most would say its not worth it, and it can be if you are not prepare to take that risk.
